Win up to £25,000 with the Lyme Lottery
Investing 60% back into our local communities, supporting great causes in Newcastle-under-Lyme.
This summer Newcastle Borough Council are launching a new and exciting ‘Lyme Lottery’. The proceeds will support local organisations such as Alice Charity. Tickets are available from 18th July, and will cost £1. The first draw will be made on Saturday, 26 August and then weekly. The jackpot prize will be £25,000 for a matching sequence of six numbers, other prizes include £2,000, £250, £25 or three free tickets.
“With our budgets under increasing pressure from central government cuts, and local good causes also needing a boost, the Lyme Lottery provides a great opportunity to help local good causes raise additional money.”
[ Councillor Elizabeth Shenton ]
Here at Alice, we couldn’t be more excited about the new endeavour, the Lyme Lottery will enable us to continue our hard work in Newcastle and Stoke. The extra income will support our staff and volunteer training programmes, as well as our existing projects. With the increased living costs and cuts, we are sadly discovering that too many children and families in our local area are suffering without the care and attention they deserve.
Our services have never before been in such high demand, and every day we unfortunately witness the hardships of poverty. Alice’s projects support local people with practical means. We believe that by delivering the appropriate support, we can tackle the lasting and yet unseen effects; advancing our community with independent resources, for a better and brighter future.
