Creating positive places to live
Poor housing conditions create serious problems for families who simply can’t afford to carpet their floors, address damp issues or make essential repairs to their homes. Children who live in poor housing conditions have a dramatically increased risk of ill-health, mental health issues and behavioural problems.
We work with families to improve the condition of their homes, making their living spaces safer, warmer and happier places to be, providing a nurturing environment for their children.
By helping a vulnerable, local family to fit carpets, hang curtains and decorate the space they live in, improving the whole family’s well-being. A home to be proud of, creating lovely family memories.

“Having four children is tough, especially when you have no one nearby to lend a hand. Decorating the house, which was a mess, gave each child a happy sleep space to call their own and the whole family a lovely living room for much-needed family time. Mum struggles with depression and having a place that she can actually call home will have a huge impact on her mental wellbeing”
