Buckets of Possibilites

Creating positive places to live

Poor housing conditions create serious problems for families who simply can’t afford to carpet their floors, address damp issues or make essential repairs to their homes. Children who live in poor housing conditions have a dramatically increased risk of ill-health, mental health issues and behavioural problems.

We work with families living in poor conditions to improve the state of their homes, making their living spaces safer, warmer and happier places to be, providing a safe and nurturing environment for their children.

By helping a vulnerable, local family to fit carpets, hang curtains and decorate the space they live in, we help to improve the whole family’s wellbeing. Improving health, happiness and positivity, and positivity creates possibilities.

Transforming a Family Home

B4B Staffordshire DIY SOS

Having four children is tough, especially when you have no one nearby to lend a hand. Decorating the house, which was a mess, gave each child a happy sleep space to call their own and the whole family a lovely living room for much-needed family time. Mum struggles with depression and having a place that she can actually call home will have a huge impact on her mental wellbeing

Give the gift of possibility

Improved wellbeing means buckets of possibilities for the whole family

It’s thanks to the kindness of people like you that we were able to help 55 families living in housing poverty last year. Our Family Support Workers visit many homes across our community where there are no carpets, leaving the house cold, unclean and unsuitable for children.

By helping to provide a vulnerable family with essential home furnishings and repairs, you’re helping to improve the health, happiness and life chances of their children.
But this vital support can’t continue without your help. Please give the gift of possibility to other vulnerable families in your community by donating online now or volunteering your services to improve the standards of living.
